Internal stages and customer status
Each label line moves through artwork check, prepress, awaiting approval, production queue, printing, finishing, QC, packed and delivered, and can be put on hold or cancelled. Each stage maps to a customer-facing status: printing, finishing and QC all show as in production. Staff can override what the customer sees. Cancelling a job voids its unpaid invoices and closes any open proof round.
What a job holds
- The approved specification for each label line, including roll specifications.
- Every proof round with its approval sheet PDF and the customer's notes.
- A timeline of status changes, approvals and deliveries.
- The quote it came from and, for a reorder, the earlier job it repeats.
- The invoices and delivery records raised against it.
Finding a job
Admin search matches customers, labels, quotes, jobs, invoices and payments, and tolerates typos. Job lists filter by status, customer and date, and reports export to CSV, Excel or PDF.
